This is a deliciously monumental work by the acclaimed chef of Faviken restaurant in Sweden. A gorgeous collection of over 700 recipes, photographs and stories, it covers the foods from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.  However, the dishes are firmly based in true home cooking. Whittling down the recipes will be a challenge but we will sample such dishes as: Marinated Smoked Herring on Homemade Crispbreads; Nettle Soup with Soft Boiled Egg; Roast Pork with Cracklings; Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage; Hasselbach Potatoes; Lingonberry Mousse with Almond Wafers; Spiced Honey Cake; Rosettes
