90 Minutes to Dinner: Using Puff Pastry

shutterstock_1186723894.jpeg

Busy? Never fear! You can still learn to cook something new, easy and utterly fabulous to grace your December menus. Chef Frances will teach you to use store-bought Puff Pastry in a variety of recipes.

Puff pastry is a kitchen shortcut hero, with flaky layers that make any topping or filling feel special. You can create a sophisticated main course, like Frances' Winter Squash Tart with Caramelized Onions and Gruyère, or throw a variation together with leftovers from your fridge. Fold the pastry into triangles for Ham and Cheese Turnovers or into muffin cups for Feta and Spinach Puffs. They seem super fancy but come together in a flash.

Make as few or as many recipes as you like during class; Frances will demonstrate them all, along with her Basic Vinaigrettes, should you wish to serve a crisp salad with your dinner. As we sign off for the evening, you will have a generous meal for at least four people, plus leftovers to freeze for future occasions.
