Sunday Project: Sausage Making

Are you ready for a Sunday cooking project? Learn the art of sausage making with chef Frances Wilson. She will show you how to grind the meat, incorporate flavorings, and share ideas for using it in various forms and recipes. This is a great team, friend or family project, so reach out to your pandemic pod and share the adventure online!

Go the whole hog (pardon the pun) and make sausages in casings, setting yourself up with a grinder and stuffing attachment for a KitchenAid mixer, or keep it simple and grind the meat in a food processor or chop by hand to make simple patties. You will make Basic Pork Sausage in your choice of Flavor(s), and, if you like, put some immediately to good use in cozy Warm Potato, Sausage and Pepper Salad. Once you have the basic technique down, you can improvise your own flavors using the best possible ingredients and your imagination. Frances will show you how.
